Xiaowen He, Licensed Acupuncturist (L. Ac.) is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in the United States, and licensed by the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners in Georgia and by the State of Virginia.
He studied western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, in China. He graduated from Xian Jiaotong University School of Medicine and had his postgraduate training at Shanghai Institute of Brain Science, China Academy of Science in China.
Dr. He obtained M.D. degree in Wurzburg University School of Medicine in Germany, and completed his postdoctoral study at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He was a faculty member at Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology, China Academy of Chinese Medical Science in Beijing, China, an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine, Memphis, Tennessee and at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia
Wanyun Zhong, Licensed Acupuncturist (L. Ac.) is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in the United States, and licensed by the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners in Georgia and by the State of Tennessee and Virginia.
She studied western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine including acupuncture in China. She graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong University School of Medicine in China and completed her postgraduate study at the Neuroscience Institute in the same medical school. In the study, she investigated the mechanisms of acupuncture induced anesthesia.
Dr. Zhong was an attending neurologist in Department of Neurology and the person in charge of the Electromyography Laboratory at China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Beijing, China. She was further trained in neurology, immunology and molecular biology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota and was involved in the study of neuroscience and gene therapy at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
