I’ve suffered with dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual cycles) for 8 years. My cycle had never been this way before, so it was a shock to suddenly start being this painful when I was about 18. The pain was unbearable. Sometimes I would end up at the ER, and even the pain meds wouldn’t work. It got to the point were I had to take a pain reliever as soon as my cramps began, otherwise if I waited until they got severe, nothing would help. I came to see Dr. He after searching via Yelp, because I’d already gone to other acupuncturists and didn’t find relief. From the beginning, I truly felt like I could trust him. He would ask questions to actually listen and just made me feel like he cared. After a consolation, he looked and me and said, “We are going to make you feel better.” He is so passionate about his practice. After only my first session, I began my period a couple days after. With this 1 treatment, I didn’t even need an ibuprofen. Obviously, I felt some discomforts, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle. I can’t even remember the last time I had such an easy period.
